On paper, it made sense.

I was respected.
I knew what I was doing.
I could see how to optimise almost anything.

but underneath the competance was bordem.

I hadn’t failed and being the perfect wife or the daughter of proud parents.

But there was a subtle, persistent knowing: this isn’t it.

and When your life works, you don’t feel allowed to question it.
