Understanding the Undefined Heart/ego Centre in Human Design

Undefined Heart/Ego Centre Human Design | Charlie Garnham

The undefined Heart Centre (sometimes known as the ego centre) in Human Design represents our sense of self-worth and value. If you have an undefined Heart/Ego Centre, you may feel the need to prove your worth, often by overcommitting or striving for success.

Challenges of the Undefined Heart/ego Centre

People with an undefined Heart/Ego Centre often struggle with feelings of inadequacy or the belief that they need to achieve in order to be valuable. This constant need for validation can lead to burnout and stress.

Tips for Alignment:

  • Know your worth: Your value doesn’t come from what you do or achieve. You are inherently worthy, and this is something to internalise.

  • Avoid overcommitting: You don’t need to say “yes” to everything just to prove yourself. Honour your energy and boundaries.

In alignment, your undefined Heart/Ego Centre allows you to rest in your inherent worth, showing others that value comes from within, not from external validation.
